Gene Rollinson + Mazda New Zealand celebrate 2009 NZ Production Race Championship win in Mazda 3 MPS
Gene Rollinson wins the 2009 New Zealand Production Race series Class B title, securing back-to-back championship success for Mazda New Zealand. In his first year behind the wheel of the Zoom-Zoom Mazda 3 MPS, Gene set lap records at five of the six race circuits.
“I have had such a fantastic time racing for Mazda this season and the result is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the team,” said Rollinson.
Mazda New Zealand team manager John Van der Velden said Mazda is really proud of Gene’s performance. “He said at the start of the season that his goal was to be at the front of the Production Racing Series and he certainly achieved that. His results confirm his position as one of the country’s most talented young drivers and we are sure he will have a great future in the sport.”
The race engine in Gene Rollinson's Mazda 3 MPS Production race car is built and tuned by WRC Developments in conjunction with Ecutek.
